Ministry House Cookout, November 24, 2013

We had a pre-Grand Opening cookout with friends, Celebrate Recovery members, and their families today.  We had a ton of food, a beautiful sunny day, and kids were fishing and roasting marshmallows.  We met new friends and met up with old ones we hadn’t seen in a while.  We had the chance to share our vision about Ministry House’s purpose and direction, and invite those who felt like this ministry would meet their needs in this season.  We also shared prayer requests and prayed for friends and family members.

Ministry House is not intended to be a huge church, but a family of Christians who have a hunger for God, and a desire to be whole and healed by Him.  Additionally, those who have a calling on their lives for service to others will have the opportunity to either train someone in ministry, or be trained by someone in ministry, so that everyone can reach out to others with the gospel and love of Jesus Christ more confidently.

We are very excited about moving forward, which entails getting Ministry House’s building ready for Celebrate Recovery this Tuesday, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, and for our first worship services this Sunday at 10:30 am.  We will worship, have a lesson, pray, and show everyone the house and how it is intended to be used.  We will also have a potluck lunch, so everyone can bring a meal to share.

So for those of you who joined us, thank you for sharing the day with us and learning about Ministry House.  For those who weren’t able to make it, we invite you to join us for Celebrate Recovery this Tuesday evening, and for worship next Sunday morning.

May God bless all of you in your journey to find God’s perfect will for your lives, and grant you the grace to be obedient to His calling in your life.
