Giving and Serving

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?
1John 3:17
And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food. (Matthew 10:7-10 NKJV)

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. (Acts 3:1-7 NKJV)

When water from the dam passes through, the turbines spin. This creates electricity. Hydroelectric power is produced as water passes through a dam, and into a river below. The more water that passes through a dam, the more energy is produced.

As we receive from the Lord we should give away, so that we can continue to grow and cause others to grow. If your not giving your not loving. {Loving is giving}

If you just keep receiving and don’t ever give away you will eventually grow stagnant meaning, you will develop your own idea about how God does things!

such as a homeless guy on the streets ask for 5 bucks to get something to eat! Your first thought is he will buy alcohol with it. Jesus said give to anyone that asks of you, not to say let me smell your breath first or give me your bank statement.
